A short drive west of L.A. on the beautiful California coast sits the gem known as Malibu. To first time visitors, the area may just look familiar, in part due to the fact that movie studios owned large land tracts of the Malibu Rancho during the 20s and 30s, and many westerns were shot in the surrounding mountains.

Sunset Ranch in Hollywood, just outside of Los Angeles, was originally established in 1929 and is one of the only ranches that offers dinner and a sunset ride on the famous hills of Hollywood Mountain. Their horses are specially trained to walk right up to the edge of the cliffs, to give the riders the best possible views of the setting sun.
